Tohorā Voyages
Southern right whales or tohorā are sentinels for climate change
The recovery of tohorā depends on the quality and quantity of their kai – but where and on what do they feed?
We will follow their voyages from the Auckland Islands Maungahuka to find out by tagging whales during the austral winter. The journeys of the whales tagged in 2020 can be found here and blog about the 2021 fieldwork can be found here.
